Sydney Royal Easter Show

Because the Easter post still isn't ready (I need Murray's big camera pics) - here are some photos from when Genna & I went to the Easter Show - first time for both of us!!

There was a number of small kiddy rides (train, carousel) but she insisted she HAD to go on the big ride!

So we bought our tickets & got a car to ourselves - YAY!

Suddenly a few huge sheep ran in and nearly knocked her over - she was yelling while backing away - and still holding the cup of food (that they were trying to shove their whole faces into). I said DROP THE CUP, then retrieved it from them myself. We finished off with another baby goat off to the side!

This reminded me of the MN state fair! The whole thing did really - in a good way :)

Pig racing time!! They also had diving pigs (that dove into a pool) - fun to watch!

And finally we had a peek at the competition hall - some of the cakes were stunning - but we really liked this Shawn the Sheep (a cartoon we like) - super cute!

A fun day! We enjoyed the show :) Would definitely go again!

B-Day Mraz

For Murray's B-day we went to see Jason Mraz with our friends Steve & Selina. The opening act was the Zac Brown Band (never heard of them - but they were good!)

But Jason Mraz was GREAT!

Such a cool stage screen too!

A great night :)

These past few weeks ...

Last week we went to visit new baby  Harry too - SO cute! Genna was disappointed that he 'didn't have any hands' (because she wanted to gently touch his hand) lol - his hands were tucked into his outfit :)

And we had a GORGEOUS beach day - loving this warm Autumn weather!

Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi



Last Monday, Murray and I attended our citizenship ceremony



It was a nice ceremony, they had a student who sand 'I still call Australia home' and the National Anthem




We even got a picture with the mayor :)



Back at home, Helen had some gorgeous Aussie treats waiting for us - along with a big fancy Aussie flag!

Now Murray's a dual citizen, and I'm a tri citizen!! Exciting :)




The caramel slice was my favourite - OMG so good!!!



The next day Genna enjoyed some of the lamington too (ironically in her American t-shirt)

Happy Aussie / American :) I'm glad all 3 of us can now call ourselves Aussie!!

It's official!

We are now Australian citizens!! :)

Grandma & Grandpa - Post 3 of 3

On my (21st of course) birthday we went to Taronga Zoo!

And to sum it up - awesome. It was SUCH a great visit. Genevieve had some amazing bonding time, and we loved spending time with them too - and what a great bonus that they were here for my birthday :)
