A Quiet Week

Genna caught gastro this week (the flu basically) which was terrible - so she spent a lot of time just relaxing on her little sofa.

But she did make a little bit of time last weekend to play with her new cleaning toy :)

Two weeks ago your daycare had a 'dance party bbq' at the end of the day on a Friday (they hold one of these 'parties' every couple of months so the parents can meet each other - I love this place - so community'. We went inside to play a bit first - you LOVE this zebra - it bounces up and down and turns around - like a bucking bronco.

Outside I got a picture of you sitting next to your friend Sana. You had fun at the party - mostly because you LOVE the hot dogs they serve (you had 3! you kept going up the table and putting your hand up and saying More Please!). But we also had fun dancing though too - you liked bouncing around to La Vida Loca!!

Last week you and I weren't feeling great - so had a few 'tt' days (what you call TV). You LOVED watching Lady & the Tramp from aunty Joni. Lots of cute puppies!

And then last Friday - the big event - Dada came home!! You ran out the front door and gave him a big hug when you saw him. You then didn't let him out of your sight for the rest of the weekend! Every time he left the room you'd yell at the top of your lungs DADA!!!!

On his first afternoon back we took a walk down to the neighborhood park

We also had a lovely day at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden with Steve, Selina, Clara & Amelia

Easter Sunday we started by making cookies together for the first time

You started playing with the dough like play doh though and breaking it off into tiny pieces

The Easter shapes were SO cute!

Then Aunty Helen came over and set up a fun egg hunt!

I also made cupcakes for our special visitors this week (who love Spiderman!)

Zephyr & Lennox! They came with Mom Cassie to spend the day with us which was great fun.

Later in the week you impressed Grandma & Grandpa on skype with your musical skills

and you impressed Mama by eating your new favorite vegetable - broccoli!

Your second Easter Egg hunt happened later in the week with your friend Isla

The two of you had fun putting the little wooden eggs through the screen door vents as well, because they would fall out of the bottom - very clever :)

We also had our third swimming lesson this week. Oh my GOSH do you love it - you have a HUGE smile on your face the whole time. This week when we arrived I said look Genna - the pool - we're going to go swimming! You said SWIMMING and took off running for the entrance fully clothed :)

This week your new favorite saying is Washing Hands. You love saying it, even while pouring milk from your cup onto your hands for fun!

A fabulous Easter Break for sure :)

A nice week

Saturday we stopped at the bakery on the way to Manly to pick up a few things, and you picked out a gingerbread cookie

Half way through the party - MANY cakes eaten - but MANY still to go! (everyone brought something)

Everyone sampled quite a few which was fun!

How bad are we though? Helen and I were SO busy chatting to people (and eating cakes) that we forgot to take any other photos!!! Oh well, it was a lovely day - 9 people came & lots of babies and LOTS of amazing baked goods. The only person who didn't have a great time was Genna. She was NOT happy about people touching her toys.... and spent most of the afternoon sitting on her sofa, with Amelia nearby, just watching everyone.

However once everyone left......

She jumped into the ball pit

and had a BLAST

We were pulling her around the house with her lying in the pool like this - SO SO fun

This week we got a few packages - she opened the box and said WOW then immediately started cuddling her new puppy bag (Thank You Denise!)

AHHHHH PUPPY!

She now has to have her new puppy as well as baba with her when she goes to bed. She hugs them both to her chest - so sweet!

Last week, on our day off (Wednesdays), we started swimming lessons again. It was the BEST decision. You absolutely LOVE swimming - you have this HUGE smile on your face the entire time. We do all sorts of fun activities, and you especially love the last bit where they have a big long mat that everyone is along side of, and one by one the instructor places you on top of the mat standing, and Mama waits on the other side so you can run to me and leap into the water. You love it because everyone cheers your name saying 'GO Genevieve.' It's SO much fun!!

Yesterday, in the afternoon, after swimming and a nap - we thought some painting would be fun!
