Catch Up :)

Look - I'm carrying my baby doll on my back!

Very cute - it was her idea!

We took out Genna's new t-ball kit on a lovely warm day recently

I can do it!

I especially love the practise swings !

Last weekend, Helen, Genna & I hosted a tea party for our friends. Helen and Genevieve made mini cupcakes for the table - Genna was very good at swirling the batter!

The kids table - all ready for the party with fruit, pretzels and a selection of sandwiches cut into flowers!

Ready to go with my fancy tea cups, tea pot and a gorgeous selection of tea

The cupcakes turned out amazing - and the missouri cookies, yumm! And my other lovely teapot!

All the lovely food & cakes that people brought. I made mini quiche too and they were very tasty!

While Daddy's been away we have missed him, but we've also had some lovely times together (and with Helen & friends)
Like this day when we cuddled up on the sofa together for a nap

We went out to eat

And played hide on seek (her 'hide' could be improved on..... lol!)
And last week I bought Genna her first pair of rain boots - of course she had to go out that evening when it started to rain. She LOVES her boots - so so fun.

Mother's Day

Oh Mother's Day we decided to go to Featherdale Wildlife Park

It was lovely that Helen joined us (Murray is away for work)

It was fun to feed the kangaroos!

A beautiful Galah - we get these on our yard all the time - so pretty

And an albino kookaburra - interesting!
We LOVE that you can get up close with the koalas!

We all want a bit please!!!

Hanging with the Aussie animals

cute :)
The farmyard was fun too - pigs, goats, chickens, etc.

Hey bird - do you like my feather?

Well it's mine!

Later we went for lunch at the Outback Steakhouse. I had to laugh at how American the place & menu was - considering it's meant to be an 'Aussie' streakhouse!

Genna loved the coloring sheet

THIS is the reason I wanted to go there - the blooming onion. OMG it was AMAZING - I just about ate myself sick eating this before the main meal even came!!
We asked for one scoop of ice cream for Genevieve - she was thrilled when this giant ball of ice cream came out!!

WOW!

Now, where to start???

It was a lovely day, topped off by the gorgeous flowers Dadda (and Genevieve :) sent me. The three of us went out to lunch for an early Mother's Day last week, but it was fun to go out on the actual day too - we had a blast with Aunty Helen :)

Also a VERY Happy Mother's Day to my Mom (Grandma), Murray's Mom (Nanna), Gigi Sis & Sally and all other Mother's we know - love you all!

Misc Catch Up

A few weeks ago we gave swimming lessons a try again - Genna liked her teacher Nikki

She especially liked the celebratory baby chino afterwards (although turned away when I tried to take a photo:)

She LOVES her new swimsuit though - ballerina!

TA DAH!
It was picture day at daycare the other day, I managed to snap this picture of Genna with her best friend Poppy

One evening Genna and I made swiss rolls for dinner - puff pastry with beef mince, spinch and cheese

And of course egg on the outside. They were delicious!!

One night Dadda brought home a surprise for Genna - is it in your pocket Dadda?

Ohhh what's this?

It's a 'lion glove' - cool!

Their thing is doing 'lion' up the stairs - roaring as the go. And when they get upstairs they come to find me and 'attack' me with kisses :)

Ice Cream on a gorgeous ANZAC Day in the park (the band aid was just for fun).
It was a great picnic day with Aunty Helen, Steve, Selina, Amelia & Clara.

Yummmm !

The umbrella worked really well to give us a bit of shade from the hot sun

Now THAT is a loaded esky! Happy that it has wheels :)

A bit of soccer with Dadda

I've got it !!
ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. April 25th marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.  It's also a day that we remember all Australians who lost their lives in military operations.
