Week 9

Dear Genevieve,
This week you turned 9 weeks old.You are even more obsessed with your hands this week. This cute hand clutching has just started in the past few days :)

You rolled over for the first time at 8 weeks, 5 days - you looked just as surprised as I was. I think you just got rocking while playing on your tummy and accidentally rolled over - whatever works!

You also have started to discover your feet. You now concentrate on them when you're kicking, so I make sure to show them to you when I'm changing your nappy just to remind you where they are and that they belong to you!

You also celebrated your first fathers day with daddy on your 2 month birthday!!

You now suck on your hands just for fun, but mostly just when you are tired and just about to go to sleep.

At our Mothers group this week you sat on my lap for the whole 2 hours looking curiously at the other babies while sucking on the side of my hand. You are such a good good baby :)

And I don't know if I dare write this down, but three nights this week your slept for 7 hours!! Daddy and I were thrilled:) You woke up absolutely ravenous, but well rested. We are starting to get down a day time routine to compensate - which means a few cat naps throughout the day - works for me! You may not keep this 7 hour wonder up - but at least we know you are capable of it! Really though, I just go with the flow - you tell me when you are tired with your tired signs and then I settle you to bed - although we try to get in at least get in a few naps a day!

You also had some great baths with Daddy

You love listening to him sing to you

and you love these relaxation baths where you can just float in the water supported by his arms

But you also love your whale bath

It allows you to sit comfortably and kick kick kick!

Don't worry - Mommy's hands are just out of the photo while Daddy takes pictures - we'd Never leave you unattended!

I put a little cloth on your tummy because it's still a bit chilly (Spring started this week!) and your chest pokes out of the water a bit - better to keep warm than catch a chill!

Another great week with my precious baby.
Lots of Love,
Mama
